Former Ghana international Andre Ayew opened his goal scoring account for NAC Breda in a thrilling stalemate with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday evening.

NAC Breda continued their battle for survival in the top-flight after holding Feyenoord to a 3-3 home draw at the Rat Verlegh Stadion.

Two-goal hero Ayase Ueda fired the opener for the visitors in the 19th minute but three minutes later it was leveled by Ghanaian midfielder Kamal Sowah.

Feyenoord went up again through a superb strike from Luciano Valente in the 31st minute but two quick goals from Boyd Lucassen and Andre Ayew aided NAC Breda to end the first half with a 3-2 lead at home.

Ayew brilliantly netted his first goal for the club he joined in January on a free transfer when he calmly headed a cross from Lewis Holtby on the stroke of halftime.

However, Ayase Ueda found the back of the net again in the 52nd minute to end the match in a three-all draw with NAC Breda ending the match as a manless side after Austrian defender Leo Greiml was sent off in the 96th minute after a VAR review.

The former Swansea and Aston Villa forward lasted for 79 minutes before he was substituted while Denis Odoi was also introduced in the 72nd minute with Sowah enjoying the full throttle.

Ayew is hoping to earn a call-up to return to the senior national team of Ghana for this month’s friendlies ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup slated for this summer in US, Canada and Mexico.
