Ghana's coach, Otto Addo, has emphasized the need for patience and time following the Black Stars' 2-2 draw against Uganda.

After a previous defeat to the Super Eagles, Ghana aimed to bounce back but settled for a draw against Uganda, despite goals from Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew.

Addo faces the challenge of rebuilding the team after their disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Addressing the media after the match, the 46-year-old stressed the importance of patience in building a competitive team capable of achieving success.

“Finishing must be better under pressure. It’s a lot of work, it’s a lot of work but I have to say this is what I expected because…we were not good even before I came so it’s a process," he said.

Adding to the team's difficulties, Alidu Seidu and Mohammed Salisu received red cards in the closing stages of the game.

The focus now shifts to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where Ghana is scheduled to face Mali and the Central African Republic in June, highlighting the ongoing challenges and aspirations for the Black Stars.
