The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has levelled disciplinary charges against Division One side Golden Kick FC and their head coach, Nii Parker Hanson, following incidents during and after the 2025 MTN FA Cup final against Asante Kotoko.
Coach Nii Parker Hanson has been cited for misconduct, with the GFA accusing him of making post-match comments that allegedly brought the game into disrepute. His remarks, which reportedly criticised the match officials, were deemed to be in violation of the Division One League Regulations.
He has been given until Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to respond to the charge.
In a separate charge, Golden Kick FC has also been cited for multiple breaches of the GFA Disciplinary Code and the Division One League Regulations. The club is accused of failing to control its supporters, some of whom allegedly threw objects onto the pitch during the final. Additionally, the club is being held responsible for social media posts targeting match officials, which the GFA says undermine the integrity and image of the competition.
Golden Kick FC must also respond to the charges by Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The 2025 MTN FA Cup final, held at the Legon Stadium, ended in a 2-1 win for Asante Kotoko, securing their 10th FA Cup title and qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
