Sampson Appiah, a former goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, expressed his gratitude following a visit from the GFA Foundation.
During the visit, the foundation presented a donation of 10,000 Ghana cedis to Appiah's trainer, who was injured in a team bus accident involving Kotoko a few years ago.
Appiah, who underwent spine surgery a year and four months ago, has been undergoing physiotherapy at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
"On Saturday, someone from the GFA, who I believe is part of the foundation, called me and invited me to Abrankese. I explained that, given my current situation, I couldn't make it," he shared with Peace FM.
"We had planned to meet at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, but the timing wasn't suitable. So, on Sunday, we met around one o'clock. Kurt Okraku, Opoku Nti, George Kennedy, and a former GFA representative for Kumasi were all present."
"I am incredibly happy that they came to show their support. I never expected it to happen. I express my gratitude to the GFA, the President, and everyone who thought of me and offered their support," he concluded gratefully.
