Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has admitted it was a very difficult game against Uganda at some point and feels they should have at least secured a win in this fixture.

After losing to eternal rivals Nigeria in their first game last week, Ghana despite leading on two occasions, still ended up playing a 2-2 draw against Uganda in their final friendly at the same Stade de Marrakech last Tuesday.

Turkish-based defender Jerome Opoku opened the scoring account for Ghana before Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala levelled things up from the spot.

Jordan Ayew subsequently, netted his fourth goal for the senior national team in his last three matches from a penalty to restore the lead before substitute Muhammad Shaban equalized once again with nine minutes to full time.

Speaking after the game, the enterprising gaffer despite admitting the game was tough at some point feels they could have still fared better with at least a narrow win.

He admitted his new style of possessive football will cause problems at the start but feels the players will understand and adapt very soon.

"The second game was difficult for us and I know if you want to build something like ball possession, building up from the back, there will be more mistakes and we have to get over it.

"It was a good learning today, there were some good part and in all playing 2-2 against Uganda, we expect more even though lots of players were missing, we could have done better."

Otto Addo, on his return, couldn't record a win and that means the Black Stars are still winless in 2024.

They will regroup in June to play Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in match-day three and four respectively.
