Newly-appointed Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton is set to return to the West African country for his official unveiling ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers slated for later this month.
The Ghana Football Association announced a new technical team early last month, with majority of the previous one maintained but will this time be led by former Newcastle United and Brighton gaffer Chris Hughton.
The Black Stars has been without substantive heads for the playing body for months now, after Otto Addo vacated his role right after the 2022 World Cup.
The details and unveiling of the new technical team, including their objectives are yet to be determined, with weeks to the Black Stars double header against Angola.
In an interview with 3Sports, Ghana FA Spokesperson, Henry Asante Twum has explained the reason of the delay in giving details and added he will return to the country very soon for his unveiling to be held.
He will also announce his squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers in addition.
"He is working, Chris and his assistants will be unveiled together. When he arrives we will communicate the date and venue for his unveiling and then use that as part of the build-up to the game against Angola."
"There will also be squad announcements, details of the contract, and the targets set for the new technical team."
Ghana will host the Black Antelopes in the first leg of the qualifiers on March 23, in Kumasi and will travel to Luanda in four days time for the reverse fixture.
