Former Black Stars goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey is returning to the senior national team as the new goalkeeper's coach, Kickgh.com can report authoritatively.
The 35 year old's professional football career started actually in 2007 with Strømsgodset but wrapped it up in 2020 after ending his three year spell with Vålerenga and that's some 13 years of football experience.
Chris Hughton since his appointment as the new head coach of the Black Stars has started some overhaul in his technical team with veteran goalie Richard Kingston being asked to step aside as the goalkeeper's trainer.
However, speculations has it that, Adam Kawarasey has now been contacted and will touch down in Ghana very soon to assume the role as the team look set to regroup in few weeks from now to prepare towards the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
The Norwegian born of Ghanaian decent, accepted to represent Ghana at senior level, and made his debut against Swaziland in the 2012 AFCON qualifiers in 2011 before he exhibited that stupendous display against giants Brazil in London few days later to win the trust of Ghanaians.
He furthered on to become the Black Stars first choice at the 2012 AFCON in Gabon/Equatorial Guinea but lost it to Fatawu Dauda at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil- and that was when the ex- Strømsgodset figure never returned.
Ghana will face Angola in a double header later this month in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
