Nana Kwame Bediako, a contender for Saturday's General Elections, has urged the youth of Ghana to rethink how they spend hours watching football, which he regards as not being productive.

The maverick Independent presidential candidate and leader of The New Force appeared on GTV's ''Presidential Encounters'' on Tuesday night, as he went raw and laid down some key visions he has for the nation.

“I think that first of all, if you spend two hours watching football almost every two days, in a year, you would have spent 1,000 hours or 500 hours of your time watching football. Meanwhile, someone is getting paid $500,000 a week to play, but you watch them for free and spend your valuable hours on it," Cheddar as he is popularly known said.

“I don’t think that is a good investment because your time is your most important asset, and you have to use it sensibly,” he added.
