Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has renewed calls for sustained action to ensure justice is served for the murder of Kotoko fan Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed during a league match against Nsoatreman earlier this year.

Speaking during an interview on Metro TV, Okraku stressed the importance of maintaining pressure in the ongoing investigation. “We must keep the chase and pace to bring the killer of Pooley to justice,” he stated, reaffirming the GFA’s commitment to supporting law enforcement in their efforts.

The tragic incident triggered widespread outrage and prompted a temporary suspension of the Ghana Premier League. It also reignited serious concerns over fan safety and the threat of violence in local football.

In response, the GFA, working closely with security agencies and other stakeholders, has taken steps to enhance matchday safety protocols. These include increasing police presence at venues and promoting anti-hooliganism campaigns.

Okraku urged all clubs, fans, and law enforcement bodies to collaborate in creating a safer environment for everyone involved in Ghanaian football.
