Newly-named Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Björkegren has assured Ghanaians of making them proud ahead of his first test since taking up the role against Morocco in an international friendly.
The 43-year-old gaffer was officially unveiled almost a week ago, coming in as successor for out-gone Nora Hauptle who did incredibly well when handed the opportunity after qualifying the team to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2018.
The team has been in camp for over a week now and are currently in Casablanca preparing for the crunchy clash coming up against the Atlas Lioness tomorrow.
This will be a perfect test for coach Kim Lars Björkegren to assess his girls as it will also serve as the perfect preparations for them towards the upcoming WAFCON.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow, the Swedish tactician feels starting preparations now will help them gel quickly for subsequent assignments and is looking forward to making the Black Queens giants again on the continent.
"The Women's Africa Cup of Nations is on the way, and we have the Women's World Cup in Brazil. We have to start now and make sure we improve each day," he stated.
"We are going to do everything to make the people proud of the women's national team... We need to make sure that, in the long run, the Black Queens are a top-four team in Africa."
The game against Morocco is slated for tomorrow, February 21, at 17:00GMT
