Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has dismissed any suggestions of unrest within the Ghana national team, insisting that the squad remains united despite individual differences.
The Leicester City forward is part of Otto Addo’s 23-man squad for the March international break as Ghana prepares for crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports, Ayew acknowledged that while players naturally have closer relationships with some teammates, the overall atmosphere in camp remains positive.
"Obviously, we are not all best friends because everyone is different and has people they are closer to. But just like in a family, the fact that you're closer to your sister doesn't mean you don't love your brother," Ayew explained.
"There’s no problem or friction within the team, and I’m yet to see any issue whatsoever. We’re like brothers," he added.
As captain, Ayew will play a crucial role in maintaining team unity both on and off the pitch while also leading by example in Ghana’s bid to secure maximum points against Chad and Madagascar in their upcoming qualifiers.
