Asante Kotoko legend, Ahmed Simba Toure has expressed willingness to return to the club and assist mainly with player recruitment.

The 38-year-old who enjoyed three different spells with the Porcupine Warriors, is keen to help restore the club’s glory days.

The Burkinabe international first joined Kotoko in 2007 where he won three Ghana Premier League titles with the ‘Kum Apem’ lads (2008, 2012 & 2014), including one FA Cup to his trophy collection.

His goals and big-game performances made him a hero and the supporters’ favourite undoubtedly at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Now working as a player agent, Toure has expressed desire in a post on Facebook to help the club with player signing from henceforth and firmly believes his experience and connections can help establish a redoubtable side for the team to restore their glory.

“Am ready to be part of the team in the best way if they give me the chance for recruitment in Ghana and outside Ghana even inside Kotoko young team. I want to be part of Kotoko scouting team for coming.”

Asante Kotoko recently exited the league cup after a penalty shootouts loss to Aduana FC and things for even worse when they lost painfully to their eternal rivals Hearts of Oak over the weekend at home.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently occupying the fifth spot on the league log with 35 points and will travel to next to relegation-threatening Young Apostles in Wenchi.
