According to a report from Ghanasportspage.com, the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has instructed Ghanaian club Hearts of Oak to pay Serbian coach Slavko Matic 50,000 US dollars as compensation for a breach of contract.
Matic filed a formal complaint with FIFA, alleging unfair treatment that led to his departure from the club during the previous season.
He claimed that following their 1-0 loss to Great Olympics, he was forced to distance himself from the team after being expelled from training.
In response to Matic's complaint, FIFA advised him to stay away from the club before he eventually left Ghana.
In light of the situation, FIFA has now ordered Accra Hearts of Oak to pay a significant sum of 50,000 US dollars (equivalent to 568,425.00 cedis) within 31 days to avoid further consequences.
During his tenure as head coach of Hearts of Oak, Matic, who succeeded Samuel Boadu, faced a troubling incident when he was attacked and prevented from conducting training sessions ahead of their match against Asante Kotoko.
Despite this setback, he managed to oversee 16 games in the Ghanaian league since his arrival in Ghana.
