According to Mohammed Polo, a former coach and legend of Hearts of Oak, the club's management will be responsible if the club fails to win the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Despite starting with Samuel Boadu, the team had a slow start, which resulted in his sacking. The Serbian manager, Slavko Matic, was then appointed, but he was chased out by the fans after a poor run of results.

David Ocloo, the assistant coach, has since been appointed to lead the club until the end of the season. The Phobians are currently in fourth place with 45 points after playing 29 games. Polo criticized the management for their poor decisions and stated that they were responsible for the club's struggles.

He also expressed his disappointment that Matic sacked senior players without giving them the opportunity to prove themselves.

"The management has a problem because they appointed Slavko Matic but the fans sacked him and that indicates that the management did a poor job," he told Kumasi-based Pure FM.

"When Matic was appointed, he sacked senior players without giving them the opportunity to prove themselves.

"There were no reasons why he made those decisions and when he was chased out, the assistant coach came to their rescue.

"For me, if the club fail to win the Premier League, the management must be blamed," he added.

Hearts of Oak will play FC Samartex 1996 in their upcoming match.
