The National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Accra Hearts of Oak has raised serious concerns over what it calls persistent poor officiating in the Ghana Premier League.

In a statement on March 2, 2026, the committee, which represents the club’s supporters nationwide, urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Referees Appointment Committee (RFA) to take action against repeated questionable decisions affecting the club.

“Despite earlier appeals, we have seen no meaningful improvement,” the NCC said. “These repeated decisions are harming our club and undermining the integrity of the competition.”

The statement cited two recent matches. On Matchday 23 at the University of Ghana Stadium against Berekum Chelsea, referee Jacob Aduntera allegedly failed to award a clear penalty to Hearts, a decision the committee said brought the game into disrepute. Hearts also claimed to have suffered poor officiating on Matchday 24 at Dun’s Park against Bibiani Gold Stars.

While urging supporters to avoid hooliganism, the committee warned that such incidents could discourage fans from attending matches and make it harder to mobilise support at the stadium.

The NCC called on the GFA and RFA to act swiftly to restore fairness, transparency and professionalism in officiating, stressing the need to “bring back the love” to Ghanaian football.
