Hearts of Oak defender Baba Adamu has expressed strong confidence in the team’s readiness ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash with Young Apostles, assuring fans that the Phobians are determined to return to winning ways.
The Accra-based side heads into the fixture under pressure after going five matches without a victory, a run that has raised concerns among supporters.
Reflecting on their previous game against Swedru All Blacks, Adamu admitted the team fell below expectations but was relieved to at least secure a point.
“It wasn’t that good, but it’s all part of the game. At the end, we could have lost, but at least we got a point at home,” he told Hearts TV.
Despite recent struggles, the defender remains optimistic about the team’s chances in their next outing, insisting preparations have been thorough.
“We are always ready for each and every game. The team is well-prepared for this one. The fans play a very important role because without them, it would be more difficult. I urge them to keep supporting us, and I believe everything will go well,” Adamu added.
The Week 28 encounter between Hearts of Oak and Young Apostles is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 5, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the Phobians eager to secure a much-needed victory in front of their home supporters.
