Head coach of FC Samartex, Nurudeen Amadu, attributed his team's exceptional home performance as the decisive factor in securing the Ghana Premier League title in just their second season.
FC Samartex clinched the championship with two games remaining, triumphing over Bibiani GoldStars in a critical match on matchday 32.
Amadu, who formerly managed King Faisal, transformed FC Samartex into a dominant force, especially at their home ground, the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
The team achieved an impressive record of 16 wins out of 17 home matches, with their sole loss at home being against Nations FC.
After their victory against Accra Lions on the final day of the season, Amadu highlighted the importance of their home resilience in their success.
"The point is that if you’re going to sustain your position in the league, you need to win most of your home games…that is what did the magic because we calculated the number of points we could amass if we won most of our home games and pursued that," he explained.
“For a young club like FC Samartex, we’re very grateful to the fans and management for their invaluable support. It really helped us in coming this far."
