A section of West Ham United supporters has decided to make the London Stadium unbearable for the Ghana international in this afternoon's Premier League fixture.

Newly signed Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mohammed Kudus is expected to receive a hostile welcome from his former club during the much-anticipated London derby.

Kudus will be travelling with Tottenham Hotspur to battle it out with his former club, West Ham United, after completing a £55 million deal to join Spurs a few weeks ago.

The 25-year-old spent two seasons at West Ham United, where he had an incredible debut campaign and a solid, though not excellent, second season. Given his history with the club, Kudus is expected to attract a level of hostility from the home fans.

Ahead of the game, Tottenham Hotspur coach Thomas Frank has urged Mohammed Kudus to stay focused during the fixture and ignore the planned mockery and noise from West Ham United fans.

“I don’t think they will applaud him! Maybe not. I’m pretty sure players and myself included, sometimes you feel the extra tension or extra noise. I’m pretty sure it’s the same for all players that are playing in hostile environments. The thing he should do is focus on his game. That’s what he can control,” Thomas Frank said.

Before Kudus signed for Tottenham, West Ham had not sold a player directly to their rivals since Scott Parker in 2011. The club's fans have taken this as a point of contention and seem determined to make Kudus an unpopular figure in their history.

It's worth noting that outgoing Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy had previously blocked Emmanuel Adebayor from joining West Ham, and the two clubs hadn't done business since the Parker deal until Kudus agreed to join Spurs.

Kudus has featured in all three Premier League matches for Tottenham Hotspur, contributing two assists to his name.

How he'll perform against his former club this afternoon remains to be seen.
