Everton have set their sights on Leicester City and Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu as a potential summer signing, according to former Sky Sports journalist and Toffees insider Alan Myers.

Manager David Moyes is pushing for more quality reinforcements ahead of the new campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the 21-year-old Ghana international has emerged as a strong option.

Fatawu missed most of the 2024/25 season after suffering a knee injury in November but has made a bright comeback in the 2025/26 campaign.

His performances have drawn the attention of Everton, who are eager to bolster their attacking options after struggling to land Southampton winger Tyler Dibling. The Blues have seen three bids rejected for the 19-year-old, with the Saints demanding £45 million upfront, £5 million in add-ons, and a 25% sell-on clause — terms Everton are unwilling to meet.

Instead, the Toffees have turned their attention to Fatawu, who offers versatility on both flanks, as well as strengths in dribbling, crossing, passing, and creating chances with incisive through balls. While he is unlikely to command a £40 million price tag, Leicester may resist any offers as they view him as a key figure in their push for immediate Premier League promotion.

Everton are also closing in on a loan move for Manchester City star Jack Grealish, but Moyes wants more than one attacking reinforcement. Landing both Grealish and Fatawu before the transfer window closes could be a huge boost to their forward line.

Talks with Fatawu’s representatives are expected in the coming days to assess the player’s interest in making the switch.
