The 24-year-old forward of Ghanaian heritage is returning to his parent club following his loan stint with the Greek top-tier side in the just ended campaign
Greece-born Ghanaian striker Andrews Tetteh has bid a farewell to Super League Greece giants Panaitolikos as he returns to his mother club A.E. Kifisia ahead of the start of the new football season.
The 1.88m tall centre-forward, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at the Panetolikos Stadium, took to his micro-blogging platform lnstagram to bid an emotional farewell to the Agrinio-based club: ''The truth is that I don't know what to write. I'm not good at these things anyway… I'll just say, with all honesty, that Panetolikos very quickly turned into a very special part of my life. Even though it only lasted six -wasted- months.
''Why? The answer is simple: I received a lot of love, great respect and interest. Not only for the football part, but also for the human part. And that is the most important thing for me. Because at the end of every journey, what remains are the relationships you have created.
''So I can say that I feel lucky for what I experienced in Agrinio in the past six months. For how everyone welcomed me to the team, for how an entire city embraced me. I thank them all one by one for what they did for me.I hope that with all the effort I put into the field and with my character I did them justice.
''I want to warmly thank Mr. Fotis Kostoulas, Mr. Gerasi Belevonis, Mr. Makis Belevonis, Markos Markovski, all the members of the administration, my teammates, all the employees of Panetolikos and every person close to the team. They made everything much easier for me…
''Allow me, however, to say an even bigger "thank you" to Mr. Yannis Petrakis. After these six months, I can assure everyone (even if there are some -a few- who have... doubts) that everything that is heard about him is little compared to what is actually true. A wonderful person, a wonderful coach. A gentleman with a capital "K".Agrinio, thank you for everything!''
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Athens-born centre-forward still remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance to represent Ghana on the international stage.
