Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has voiced his belief that teenage sensation Abdul Aziz Issah possesses the talent and potential to feature for Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars.

The 17-year-old prodigy has been making waves since his debut for the senior team two seasons ago, showcasing remarkable skill and maturity on the field.

Issah's stellar performances have been instrumental in Dreams FC's journey to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, with his dazzling displays contributing to the team's success.

With Dreams FC on the verge of a potential semi-final qualification following a remarkable 2-1 victory over Stade Malien in the first leg of their quarter-final clash, Issah's contributions have been pivotal.

Renowned for his exceptional dribbling ability and tireless work ethic, the young star has emerged as one of the most promising talents in Ghanaian football, garnering attention from national team selectors.

There is widespread belief that Issah could follow in the footsteps of legendary Ghanaian midfielder Abedi Pele, given his outstanding performances at both club and country levels.

Notably, Issah played a key role in Ghana's triumph at the 2023 All Africa Games Men's tournament, where the Black Satellites clinched gold with a 1-0 victory over Uganda.

Zito, who has steered Dreams FC to unprecedented success in African club competition, expressed his confidence in Issah's readiness to represent the Black Stars.

"I will say without an stretch of doubt that he (Abdul Aziz Issah) is ready for the Black Stars," Zito told Onua Maakye Sports

"He is quality and has what it takes to play for the Black Stars. Abedi Pele was around same age when he was brought to Aburi to join the Black Stars squad.  Today we can't talk about Ghanaian, African and world football without mentioning his name.

"Aziz has done far more than what Abedi did when he was called up into the national team. He is playing in the Ghana Premier League, Confederation Cup and won gold at the All Africa Games.  It can't get any better than that.

"Coaches now plan and plot around Aziz when Dreams are playing. That should tell you his immense quality. If I were the coach of the Black Stars, I won't hesitate to call him and give him a chance."

Issah's remarkable achievements, including his contributions in the Ghana Premier League, Confederation Cup, and All Africa Games, underscore his readiness for the national team stage, according to Zito.
