According to Peter Twumasi, the Director General of the National Sports Authority, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is prepared to host Ghana's upcoming match against Angola on March 23.

This marks the Black Stars' return to the venue after a year since the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play Palancras Negras on March 23 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before traveling to Luanda for the reverse fixture on March 27, 2023.

In an interview with Accra-based radio station Peace FM, Twumasi assured that the facility is ready to host the national team. He stated,

"Yes, by the grace of God...I left the place and got to Accra yesterday. I was also there throughout last week work went on smoothly and everything is ready. What we are looking forward to is God will grant us 23rd then we kick off."

With four points from two games, Ghana is currently tied for first place in Group E after a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June of last year.
