Ghana assistant coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani has described Chris Hughton as a unifier following his new role to lead the Black Stars as head coach.
Hughton will be unveiled to Ghanaians in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2022 ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Angola.
The Irish-born Ghanaian tactician was named as replacement of Otto Addo, who left the Black Stars coaching job after the West African nation's group stage elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The first engagement between the coach and the media will be a platform for the Football Association to also make public the targets, terms of engagement, and other relevant information pertaining to the manager’s work.
One of his deputies, Mas-ud Didi Dramani in an interview with Citi Sports spoke highly of the former Brighton and Hove Albion boss.
“No matter what I say about his philosophy it has nothing to do with what people out there think,” Didi Dramani told Citi Sports
“What I will say about Chris is that, he is a unifier, he brings people together and his openness to other people’s views is huge and this alone speaks volumes of his personality.”
“What this means is that it brings continuity and advancement to the team”.
Hughton has named his 25-man squad list which includes Kudus Mohammed, Inaki Williams, Salisu Mohammed, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Joseph Paintsil, Thomas Partey and others for the all-important two-legged fixture in the upcoming 2023 AFCON Qualifiers.
Ghana will host the Palancras Negras of Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27 for the second leg tie.
