Head coach of the Black Queens,  Kim Lars Bjorkegren has disclosed his major priority was to ensure the team improves on its chance creation and goal scoring.

Recently the Ghana women's senior national team wrapped up their nine-day training camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampam.

Bjorkegren clarified that although the team have greatly improved in many areas, the ending is problematic, specifically as Ghana intensifies its preparation for the upcoming 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

“We’ve been testing around with a lot of players, and now we need to get closer to the final pieces. The final piece, when it comes to the tactical aspect, will be the final third and how to connect with the wingers and the number nines,” Bjorkegren told Ghana Football Association media.

“That’s maybe the most important part to create more chances and score more goals, and that’s necessary, of course, to win games. So that’s the final part we will work on in the next camp” before praising the quality of players that participated in the camp stating,

“You can really see the talent in these players when you spend time with them and get to know them. Overall, really good. I think there have been five or six that we’ll put on the list and look at a little bit closer; Abigail, Nancy, Fatima for example but maybe another two or three as well.”

This year’s Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is scheduled for July 5 to July 26, with the Black Queens paired in Group C alongside defending champions South Africa, Tanzania and Mali.
