The Porcupine Warriors stop-gap manager feels his side were handed a raw deal by the match official following their heavy away loss to the Mauve and Yellow in yesterday's Ghanaian elite division encounter

Asante Kotoko interim manager Prince Yaw Owusu has said that their 4-0 defeat to Medeama in the Ghana Premier League Matchday 29 fixture was down to the officiating referee.

The record Ghanaian league holders were mangled by their top-tier rivals at the TnA Stadium over the weekend. However, with this latest defeat, the Kumasi-based club hopes of annexing this season's league title are now in jeopardy as they trail table toppers Medeama by 10 points, with 5 games to end the current campaign.

ln reacting over the officiating, the apoplectic interim manager said in a post-match press conference: ''The referee cost us! lf in the buid-up, we wouldn't have taken the first goal. lt was too fast and he ignored all of them, then the goal came.

''ls a team that have lost a game and are coming into a big game. So immediately that they came, they all dropped down. When you watched the game closely and when they started, we were playing them boot for boot,'' he added.

Kotoko will now regroup and prepare for their next GPL fixture against Hohoe United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday.
