Bibiani Goldstars head coach Frimpong Manso has dubbed their defeat to Asante Kotoko as a very painful one and added they were denied a very clear penalty in the game.
The Miners succumbed to an unwarranting 1-0 loss to giants Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium last Friday evening in the opening fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day 19.
Despite proving to be the superior side in the first department with lots of goal incursions, took them 46 minutes to find the back of the net through youngster Peter Acquah Amidu and that was enough to hand the Reds all three points.
The Yellow-Greens now have a win and a defeat in the second round and that leaves them on the same 13th spot on the log with 21 points after 19 games.
Speaking in a post-match presser, the experienced gaffer described their defeat as a very painful one following the performance they put up on the day and further stated they should have been awarded a penalty.
"It's just unfortunate. It's a game we at least deserved a draw. We shouldn't be losing this game, very very painful especially in the second half. We dominated play and could have equalised but then I don't know.
"For me I think we had a ball which seems like a penalty maybe I need to have a second look at it. It's not a game we should have lost at all."
Bibiani Goldstars will host Great Olympics at the Dun's Park in the next round of matches in the Ghana Premier League.
