Ghanaian forward Daniel Adu-Adjei has joined Carlisle United on a season-long loan from AFC Bournemouth.
The 19-year-old made his competitive debut for Bournemouth as a late substitute in January’s FA Cup win against Queens Park Rangers.
Following that, he went on loan to Leyton Orient for the remainder of the campaign, making 10 appearances in League One and scoring his first senior goal in a 3-1 win at Shrewsbury Town on the final day of the season.
In June, Adu-Adjei signed a new long-term contract with Bournemouth after being named the academy player of the year, having scored 25 goals in 25 matches for the development squad. He also traveled with the first team to the USA last month and played in a friendly against Arsenal.
Adu-Adjei, who joined Bournemouth in March 2021 after being released by Fulham, has also spent time on loan at Poole Town in non-league football. Now, he is set for a season in the fourth tier with Carlisle United.
Born and raised in England, Adu-Adjei remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level, adding another dimension to his promising career.
