Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu delivered an impressive performance for Northampton Town in their 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in an English League One encounter on Sunday.
Fosu, who started the match and played 70 minutes, was instrumental in Northampton’s triumph at the John Smith's Stadium. The 28-year-old attacker, eager to reignite his career in the lower-tier league, was one of the standout players in the game.
Huddersfield faced an early setback after an own goal by Michal Helik in the 18th minute, giving Northampton the lead. The visitors extended their advantage just seven minutes later when Fosu set up Cameron McGeehan to make it 2-0. Northampton dominated the first half with an explosive display.
Fosu capped off his stellar performance with a goal of his own in the 58th minute, sealing the win for his side. Huddersfield managed a consolation goal through Josh Koroma in the 80th minute, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
With this win, Fosu has now contributed two goal involvements for Northampton Town this season, with one goal and one assist. He will be looking to maintain his form as the season progresses.
