Communications director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has shrugged off reports in the local media that they have shortlisted three coaches for the Black Stars coaching role.
The Ghanaian national team has been without a head coach since Otto Addo stepped down after the West African nation exit from the group stages of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar
The Ghana FA has previously revealed through Henry Asante Twum that over sixty foreign coaches have submitted their applications for the coaching vacancy job.
Earlier reports in the media during the week stated that, Chris Hughton, Steve McClaren and Hector Cuper have been penned down for the hot seat role.
Meanwhile, former Black Stars coach and captain Kwesi Appiah has confirmed that he has submitted his application for the job.
Asante Twum said they've not shortlisted any coaches but are looking for a competent trainer to steer the affairs of the Black Stars.
"We haven’t made any shortlist and at the right time we will," Henry said on GHOne TV.
"The job is open for all. Once you are a competent coach. There is pressure to appoint a competent coach. We are not looking at race or colour but just a competent coach," he added.
