Former Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has disclosed he may return to takeover the Black Stars job but that should be anticipated in the next two years to come or more.
The 47 year old resigned from his role as Ghana's coach after their painful exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is currently happening in Qatar.
The four time African conquerors had their elimination confirmed last Friday after losing 2-0 to Uruguay in their last group game at the Al Janoub Stadium.
After what looked like a good start, far from a jittery one, the Black Stars ended up at the foot of Group H with only three points- making them the African country with the least number of points accumulated in the ongoing Mundial.
Having stepped down, Otto Addo has vowed to return to lead his country one day but that will be after he had exhausted his two and half year contract left with Borussia Dortmund- where he serves as a Talent Scout.
“So it [six months contract] will end now and it hasn’t got anything to do with the outcome or result, it would have also ended as World Champions and I have to respect my contract, I have to respect the club I’m working for," Addo told the Ghana FA's official website in an interview
“And surely maybe one day I will get the chance to work again with the GFA but the next two and a half years, I have a contract with Dortmund and I have to respect that."
He's returned to Germany where he has already reunited with his family and will return to the Signal Iduna Park very soon to commence work.
