Lexington SC managed to claw one back just before halftime, as Nico Brown successfully converted a penalty kick, narrowing the score to 2-1. However, Chattanooga wasted no time responding, with Ryley Kraft setting up Ghanaian striker Ropapa Mensah, who coolly slotted the ball into the net to make it 3-1.
The scoring spree continued as Omar Gomez and Mayele Malango added two more goals for Chattanooga Red Wolves SC, increasing the lead to 5-1. Despite facing a substantial deficit, Lexington SC remained determined, with Alassane Diouf finding the back of the net twice to bring the score to 5-3.
Mensah, who has been in superb form throughout the season, contributed another goal in this thrilling encounter, bringing his total to 10 goals in 25 games. His consistent scoring has solidified his position as a key player for Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
