The English fourth tier outfit have announced the loan signing of the teenager of Ghanaian root from his parent club in this current transfer window

English-born Ghanaian teen Michael Adu-Poku has joined League Two club Barrow from Championship side Watford on a season-long loan deal, the club have confirmed.

The 19-year-old winger, who spent the latter part of the season with Fifth division club Rochdale Football Club, has again been farmed out to The Bluebirds for the 2025-26 campaign.

''We’re pleased to announce the signing of Michael Adu-Poku on a season-long loan from Championship side Watford,'' an excerpt a statement over his loan deal read.

Poku spoke about his transfer deal to his current employers as he is set to spent the entire season on loan at the Holker Street via the club's official website: ''Obviously, being with them at Solihull, they contributed towards my progression in men’s football and gave me a lot of opportunities, so them bringing me here is a great compliment.''

Head coach Andy Whing added: ''Having worked with Michael previously, I’m delighted to be able to bring him in and work with him again. He provides out-and-out pace and gives us something completely different to what we’ve already got. I’d like to extend a big thanks to Watford for trusting us and me again in aiding Michael’s development this year.”

Given his Ghanaian heritage, Adu-Poku still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be cap-tied by the England national team.
